Josh Spangler

Owner/Manager/Chairman/Principal

Josh enjoys the challenge of working at the SpangleR Group, which he founded in September 2009, as he never knows what the next problem to solve may be. His position allows him to help others develop their careers and feels SpangleR Restoration has become a place where people can be their best selves. After a successful career with a large national home builder, he became a victim of the 2008 recession. Josh was introduced to the restoration industry in his previous role, and realized he had the skill set to be successful. Josh and his company have become the largest growing restoration company in the Charlotte area and are always searching for improvement on all levels. Family, trust, dog lover, fisherman, an eclectic taste in music and self-professed Big Green Egg grilling skills are just some of the values and traits Josh possesses, he describes himself as, and people know him to be reliable, trustworthy, and introspective.

Ken Sussex GM

Operations

Joining the SpangleR Group in 2015, Ken is incredibly proud of what SpangleR has come to stand for, the principles lived everyday and what has been built by trying to always do the right thing. SpangleR has made a difference in his life, it brings great joy, satisfaction, frustration, heartache, a sense of pride for what they have been able to accomplish as a team, and proof of success to all those who doubted. Ken started in the business when a family friend owned a restoration franchise, suggesting it would be a good career move. 30 years later, he’s brought his experience and passion to the team. Ken’s goal is to make sure everyone feels appreciated for what they do and help people live their passion. Family inspires Ken, he loves dogs a bit more than cats, is a huge Michigan fan, he boats to relax, and loves homemade mac and cheese. He is collaborative, forward thinking, and genuine.

Dean Bryk

Finance

Dean joined the SpangleR Group in 2017. He has 20 years of accounting and financial experience. Originally from New York, he and his family live in Indian Trail. Family is what Spangler means to him, his superpower is Excel, which he uses for both good and evil. Dean enjoys working out and hopes to have a gym in the building. He has a great love for pizza and claims he can eat an extra-large cheese pizza in one sitting. He describes himself as outgoing, analytical and charming.

William McDaniel

Marketing

William loves working for a family owned company, made up of the most talented individuals in the industry. He feels each employee is trying to do their best on each and every job, and that says a lot given SpangleR’s tremendous growth. He’s always wanted to work for the best in the industry and is blown away daily at how many people he sees smiling at work. William joined The SpangleR Group in 2019 and has extensive understanding of the industry. His background is in textile restoration after working with a furniture manufacturer. William’s enthusiasm and his desire to succeed and see others succeed, help him, along with his team, go for a win every day. Increased communication is William’s goal, each job to be touched and documented weekly. William is a big family guy, fishing, dogs and cats, and the Carolina Panthers are some of his favorites, and holds the MDA close to his heart. His superpower is the ability to read people, and of course he uses it for good and evil! William describes himself as a team player, is loyal and has integrity.
